Pakwash Provincial Park is a hidden gem in the Northwest Territories. Pakwash Provincial Park is located 19 km north of the town, and is home to a 1.5 kilometer long sand beach, campgrounds, nature trails and aboriginal rock paintings. There are also plenty of opportunities for wildlife watching, as the park is home to a variety of species of birds and animals.
Situated on the shores of Pakwash Lake, the park offers a variety of landscapes to explore, from forests to wetlands. Pakwash Provincial Park is also a great place to enjoy some of the many activities available in the area, such as hiking, canoeing, and fishing.
